Food, wine and photogenic cows? Count me in! I had a blast capturing the first Food And Wine Festival at Charity Hill Farm! While the Smith family's focus is mainly on organic beef, they've recently opened their gorgeous farm up to the public for events and are officially off to a great start! From cows to cabernet, I'm sharing some of my favorite images from what I hope is the first of many more festivals on the farm. Cheers ya'll!
The friendly folks from Mattaponi Winery and Caroline's own Sassafras Shade Vineyard were on hand offering tastes of their local grapes.
While some rain clouds threatened to put a damper on the day, festival goers came prepared. The sun eventually won the battle and a gorgeous Spring day revealed itself!
Patsy And The Country Classics serenaded guests throughout the afternoon with timeless tunes.
Inside the lodge, local vendors were on hand selling everything from beautiful bangles to on-site custom monograms!
And of course some local grill masters stayed busy throughout the day cooking up brisket, BBQ and burgers fresh from the farm.
